Product Quick Lookup & Live Price-History Charts

Instantly search any item and view six-month trends. Grocery prices in Trinidad & Tobago move fast. One week a two-pound pack of rice costs TT$ 15; the next week, after a port delay, the same pack jumps to TT$ 23. Until now the only way to know a real deal from price noise was to walk every aisle or scroll through PDFs of weekly circulars. BarginBuddy’s new Product Quick Lookup changes that in three taps.

What’s new

Lightning-fast search – Start typing any product or brand and see suggestions with thumbnails, pack size and brand.

Setail pages – Each product now has a dedicated page at /product/<id>/ that loads instantly on any device, without the BairginBuddy Web App.

Six-month price-history chart – The chart shows the national average; shaded bands mark regional lows and highs. Hover (desktop) or tap (mobile) for exact TT$ figures.

Why it matters

• Plan better shopping trips. Is today’s TT$ 10 price on condensed milk a bargain or a normal Wednesday? A quick glance at the chart tells you.
• Spot true specials. Spikes often signal short-term promotions. If today’s price sits near the low band, stock up; if it kisses the high band, wait or switch brands.
• Share and compare. Each page includes one-click share links so you can send a chart to family or the “Parlour Deals” WhatsApp group.

Tips & tricks
• Search accepts plurals, nicknames and misspellings – try “corn beef” or “blue band”.
• Click the WebApp link under the chart to add the exact item to a smart shopping list and track live store prices.
• Charts update daily as shoppers upload receipts or stores refresh online catalogues.

What’s next

We’re testing category and store trend pages with similar charts. Once enriched copy is ready those pages will go live under /category/ and /store/ routes.

Help us improve Quick Lookup by adding missing items or updating shelf prices when you’re out shopping.
